Jeffrey Friedland

Jeffrey Friedland is an investor, author, business executive and a thought leader in the global cannabis industry. Mr. Friedland's latest book is Marijuana: The World's Most Misunderstood Plant.

He was an owner of two marijuana retail stores in Breckenridge and Crested Butte, and a cultivation facility south of Steamboat Springs.​

He was a founder and initial CEO of publicly-traded Nexien BioPharma Inc. (NTVA). The company is developing cannabinoid-based drugs under U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) protocols. He is CEO of its majority shareholder, Canada-based Kanativa Inc.

Mr. Friedland was also a founder of Israel-based Israel Plant Sciences, a company focused on cannabis genetics and breeding.

Mr.Friedland has been the chief executive officer and a director of a NASDAQ listed financial services company, a director of a New York Stock Exchange-listed company, and the chairman of the supervisory board of a Hong Kong-based company with a stock market listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Mr. Friedland has been a host of two television shows, Cannabis Insider TV and Marijuana Stocks of the Week.

Key to his assistance to these companies was his ability to increase the level of professionalism and assist management in implementing “real-world” corporate strategies.

After his involvement with SilverEdge and the numerous cannabis companies, Mr. King-Sadick, as a corporate advisor, brought his talents to other companies.  As president of his company, Vertical Solutions, he has assisted companies with sales automation, revenue modeling, and corporate strategy. These activities in assisting startups, venture capitalists, and multi-billion dollar revenue companies resulted in his development of a proprietary and unique toolset that can be implemented across numerous industries to enable companies to maximize their growth.
